PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES

Don't leave your healthcare provider’s office without making sure you and your family are up-to-date on your immunizations.

As adults, it's important for you to keep up with recommended immunizations and screenings. From whooping cough to cancer and herpes to high blood pressure, there are plenty of health risks that you can avoid or manage throughout your life. Immunizations for some of the most common conditions are free to all Americans. Other screenings and immunizations may require copays. Take a look at the recommended schedule and talk with your doctor about any gaps or risks you may need to address.

Most babies receive critical immunizations during their first months of life. Don't stop there. Some immunizations need boosters as children grow older. And some immunizations, such as Human Papilloma-Virus and Meningitis, are not required until the pre-teen years and beyond. The good news is that preventive care for these conditions is provided free of charge. The recommendations help you protect your children and young adults as they grow older.

If so, you may need additional vaccines.
